The Bayles Boat Shop is helping to keep Port Jefferson’s boat building heritage alive through our active small-boat building and restoration projects.
Committed to keeping our community in touch with maritime skills and the waters around us, LISEC provides boatbuilding and other maritime programs for school, scout, and community groups.
Since its founding, LISEC has joined Coastal Steward Long Island in restoring oyster populations in local harbors and organizing beach cleanups throughout Long Island's shores. Volunteers always gain great knowledge working on these exciting & fun projects.
LISEC membership and volunteer opportunities are available to all who wish to expand their knowledge and wrap themselves in the past, present and future of Long Island's marine environment. Membership funds and volunteer programs are key to supporting LISEC's programs.
